NHRC Chapter News Update - February 2020

I hope all of you have had a good start to 2020.  This decade is our opportunity to make a difference in the HR community and stepping up our game as Strategic HR Business partners to help our organizations shape the next 10 years. On May 14th we host our forum along with HRA of Greater Oak Brook, speakers that will focus on HR 2020 – A Vision for the Future.  Please share with us what your plans are for 2020.

Call for Mentors:  Looking to give back to our HR community?  We need mentors to mentor our college students who are majoring in Human Resources.  Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering some of your time and talent.

HR Roundtable:  Every other month we host round tables from 8 to 9 am. on a topic that you tell us is important to you.  This is one of benefits we offer for free to NHRC members.   This month, the topic was a continuation from our January PDE on Recreational Marijuana – How’s it going?  These sessions are facilitated by Katie Dykstra and/or Denise DeLisle our Co-Chairs of our Programs Committee.

Upcoming Events:
• February 13th our next PDE Luncheon.  Our speaker is Dr. Vincent Racioppo, President, Center for Expert Performance, Inc and NHRC member.    The topic is:  Seven Insider Secrets Great Leaders Do to Create Extra Ordinary Results.
• February 19th, our Young Professionals Group meets from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at City Works, 1850 E. Golf Road, Schaumburg.  Join our facilitator, Drew Perrino, for an engaging conversation.  Please note this a new location.
• SAVE The DATE:  May 14th for our annual Forum and hear what our speakers, Desmond Clark, Former Chicago Bear and Enrique Rubio, CEO and Founder of Hacking HR, have to say about HR 2020 - A Vision for the Future.

NHRC Chapter News Update August 2019

I hope you all enjoyed your summer.  Now it’s time for back to school, preparing for fall and the remainder of the year.    We have some great PDE’S scheduled for the rest of this year. In addition, the feedback we have received from several members is to offer PDE’s at the start of the workday.  I am happy to announce that our September PDE is a morning session and our November PDE will be held in the late afternoon.
