Employers across the country are grappling with the unprecedented Coronavirus/COVID-19 crisis. From daily White House and CDC updates to significant new legislation, like the “Families First Coronavirus Response Act” and the “Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act,” the constantly-changing medical and legal landscapes appear to create new employment law questions and challenges every hour. In this webinar, employment lawyers will address recent changes to federal paid sick leave and family medical leave laws, new and existing laws relating to office closures, layoffs, and reducing employees’ work hours, new opportunities for small businesses, and much more. During this webinar, we will:

  • Discuss the “Families First Coronavirus Response Act” and the “Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act”
  • Identify recent changes to federal paid sick leave and family medical leave laws
  • Review existing laws relating to employment and discuss how they relate to the current COVID-19 pandemic.

In this webinar, NHRC Legislative Director Alison B. Crane and Jody Kahn Mason – employment lawyers from Jackson Lewis, P.C. – will address recent changes to federal paid sick leave and family medical leave laws, new and existing laws relating to office closures, layoffs, and reducing employees’ work hours, new opportunities for small businesses, and much more.
