New Mission Statement: At our Professional Development Event (PDE) last week (November 7th) we rolled out the new NHRC mission statement. (Photo below of our speaker in action.) Why did we change our mission statement? We found at our strategic planning session earlier this year, that our mission statement did not reflect why we exist as an organization, our purpose and our goals. Therefore, we developed a new one. I want to acknowledge the team that worked on crafting our new mission statement: Provvi Cuffaro, Alison Crane, Jessica Drew, Mike LoPresti, Linda Sala and Rachel Solarz-Mortellaro. And here it is:

NHRC IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING HR PROFESSIONALS BEST IN CLASS RESOURCES AND EVENTS. WE PREPARE YOU TO HAVE THE CONFIDENCE AND KNOWLEDGE TO LEAD THROUGHOUT YOUR CAREER.

In need of Mentors: Our professional development committee led by Debbie Diaz is in need of eight (8) Mentors. We have students from Northern Illinois University and Elmhurst that are HR majors seeking an experienced Human Resources Mentor. This is a great way to give back to our HR community and identify talent for future needs. Please let us know your interest. Debbie can schedule a call with you to explain the Mentor Program.
