Proud recipients of the SHRM Excel Award, the Northwest Human Resources Council (NHRC) unites HR professionals for the purpose of sharing expertise and creating innovative solutions to human resource challenges.  Our mission is to provide resources and opportunities that engage, develop and inspire Human Resource professionals. The NHRC Board of Directors invites you to share in this mission and experience the passion, enthusiasm and dedication that our Chapter exudes.

NHRC Membership...With over 200 members, our chapter is quite diverse. There are a variety of industries represented including advertising, banking, education, healthcare, legal, manufacturing, non-profits, retail and transportation…just to name a few!

Our members hold a range of HR expertise from recruiting, payroll and benefits to employee relations, training and organizational development; with representation from the front-line to the C-suite. 
  

Vendor Partners...As a not-for-profit, NHRC Vendor Partners play a critical role in our effort to provide information and resources that complement the needs of our members. Just as we hold ourselves accountable to high ethical standards, we expect our Vendor Partners to possess high business ethics and a strong commitment to quality and value. We select our Vendors Partners based on their commitment to operate under that standard. Working together, we can assure the highest possible value for our Members.  To maximize your partnership with NHRC:

  • Get involved.  There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available. What better way to introduce yourself to our HR members than rolling up your sleeves and demonstrating your abilities.

  • Invest your resources.  Celebrate your successes, demo your services and make a connection with our membership. We offer a number of sponsorship opportunities for you to introduce yourself as a valuable resource.
  • Share your expertise.  Our program committee is recruiting qualified presenters to speak at our general meetings and our annual conference. Sharing your expertise and dynamic presentation style is a great way to get noticed by our membership!

We discourage the following “hard” sales tactics:

  • Sending mass emails to our membership for your business gain.
  • Soliciting members incessantly.
  • Seeking business cards at events solely to build your contact list.
  • Using our social media avenues as a sales platform.
